whoops missed the point of that previous post, golly my head is NOT in the correct place right now, so please forgive me, well to be honest, it never is.

So when the tutor first red my proposal, she got the impression that i was going to be doing a fanzine of already made t - shirts, ( UM NO, DULL TO THE MAX ) from the history of the t-shirt through to now…..something along those lines anyways, who knows how her head works, but if i was doing a project like that, i think i might have wanted to die…

So when i eventually got out the words i needed to explain properly what i was meaning in the proposal she said that i could do it, as i wasnt a fashion designer, and i wanted to design a range of t shirts i can go and do the fashion design course.

But no, i am NOT designing a frigging range of frigging t - shirts, I AM EXPERIMENTING WITH THE SHODDING T SHIRTS. but anyway, she didnt like that idea and went on about how i dont know enough about the making side of the t shirt, etc etc, so i am sorry, what does a fashion design, styling and promotion student do then?! that i apparently dont know.

So she then had the idea that i should make a number of t shirt identity kits for different types of people, for example - a chav tastic kit which could include marker pen, lipstick, stencil etc etc, i dont know, this was one of her ideas, which is ok, but a bit….demented ( her fav word )

So all in all, i am in an absolute RUT. i shall be back in a bit once i have decided on SOMETHING.

Thursday 29th

So what i got from my tutor in our one to one… well all in all i came out with nothing, so really, being in there for probably over half an hour, i still come out with….well…nothing. it was complete rot. I thought my idea was quite good and i was happy to hand over my proposal (which never happens, as i never make any sense when i try to get out what i am thinking from my head, its completely mumble jumble, but my friends understood it when they read it, so i was happy)

here goes…

“When you think T - Shirts, how do you feel?

Some may love the idea of the T-shirts, whilst others just heave a sigh.

However for my Final Major i am looking to over step the boundaries of the T-Shirt, to question when it stops being a T - Shirt.

The usual fashionable T- Shirt, with prints, pictures and texts are treated as a human billboard, where as i will be defeating the purpose of the t shirt by exploring different techniques with the basics, for example spray mounting a t - shirt and rubbing it along different surfaces,  such as household surfaces to pavements, collating different textures and dirt.

With the outcome i will be looking to style the final result on different individuals from the beautiful to the plain, which will then be placed and laid out into a fanzine generated by mixed media.

Ok, well reading back on it, its not as exciting as i first thought…so yeeeeeeees, changing idea is a must.

AND I AM GOING TO STICK WITH T - SHIRTS!!! but i am sooooo unsure what to do with them, i shall be putting my mass conversation with the tutor up on here soon, our nice one to one, and show you how i got even more lost with what i can do for our pre collection after the 30 minutes in her office. BAD TIMES.

Sorry if i am not making much sense, i am extremely tired… and grumpy, and my head is in a ditch somewhere….i swear…
